Our work has been published internationally in books newspapers and magazines and exhibited in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and Rome Italy. We have received numerous design awards for our projects.

 

Innovation in environmental design

For over 25 years we have been recognized for our work in environmental design. Books, newspapers and magazines have acknowledged our projects. We have lectured and offered workshops on environmental design. To our clients this means that we can provide high levels of comfort and minimize energy and maintenance costs.

 

Competence in the permit process

Numerous projects have received permits with the minimum number of hearings. In all of these projects we have addressed the concerns of affected parties with positive solutions that worked for our client as well as others.

 

Integration with historic design traditions

We have worked with buildings of all ages and designs to allow new construction and renovations to fit with New England architecture.

 

Knowledge of construction

We have personally built or been the contractor for numerous residential buildings that we have designed in New England over the last 30 years.

 

Integration of architecture and planning

In several cases, we have cautioned our clients about potential site problems. In these instances we have devised solutions which have saved money, at times in excess of our fees. In many projects we have reduced design time and expense by providing planning and architecture services together.

 

Cost control

We work closely with contractors and consultants to value engineer our designs and to meet tight budgets.
