Vermont Healthy Home
Number 1 - Basic Plan
If you purchase plans for the Vermont Healthy Home Number 1 you will get all you need to build the basic core house as well as plans to expand and/or modify the house.
Depicted to the left on this page, are the plans for the base unexpanded version of the Vermont Healthy Home Number 1. From the front porch, you go into a front entry with closets and seats. While functional in providing storage and an entry lock, it also is tight, airy and inviting to guests. As you enter from the hall into the house, the light and air of the windows and French doors draw you and your guests into the living area. The openness of the living and -dining areas allow for a flow throughout the first floor, while the stairs and fireplace separate the two areas. The fireplace is clean burning and energy efficient. A long uninterrupted wall along the walkway supplies a place for built-ins or artwork. The kitchen is open to the dining area, but separated by a raised counter with seating to eliminate views of kitchen counters.
First floor living space: 1108 square feet.
The second floor can have two or three rooms. Note the planter at the end of the hallway space.
Second floor living space: 868 square feet.
In the basic plan the third floor is assumed to be unfinished. However, it can be finished to a study or other use later.
Total living space: 1976 square feet (without attic)
Bedrooms- 2-3
