The
Based on a participatory planning process that included concerned area residents, we developed an overall master plan for the property and a subdivision plan for seven units of single family affordable housing and eight elderly units in duplex buildings. The plan preserved all but five acres of the 116 acre property for agricultural, conservation and recreational uses the plan included playing fields, activity centers, a recreation trail network, sledding areas and common land for residential areas.
After developing the plan with Village Trustees,
planning commission and citizen input, the project received local PUD approval
from the planning commission after two hearings. We were also successful in coordinating and
acquiring Act 250 approval for the project. |
