Camp Common
Ground purchased a beautiful property to use
for their family camp. Their goals
were to protect the property and to use a portion of the land in a
sustainable manner. We were hired to
provide overall land use and permitting assistance and to complete
architectural design services for an environmentally oriented family
camp. Work is based on sustainable guidelines,
principles and implementation measures. More than 75% of the property will be permanently protected through
donation of development rights to the Vermont Land Trust. Materials from the property and the region
will be utilized. The planning process has included camp members and staff,
wildlife consultants, foresters and landscape architects, as well as neighbors
and town residents.
